These terms are an agreement between you and [Owner to provide: Legal name of the business or organization that operates ufaamu] (“ufaamu”, “we”). They apply to everyone who uses ufaamu. Some parts apply only to job seekers or only to employers, and say so.
How we handle personal information is explained in the privacy notice. The privacy notice is information for you; agreeing to these terms does not turn on AI help, employer discovery, email, or any other choice described there.

ufaamu:
ufaamu does not: hire anyone; decide who gets an interview or offer; set or guarantee pay; check whether you meet a job’s requirements; check your identity, immigration status or whether you may work in the U.S.; or act as your agent with employers. Employers make their own hiring decisions and are responsible for them.
Whether ufaamu counts as an employment agency, job board or anything else under a particular law has not been decided. These terms do not claim that ufaamu is exempt from any law.
If a listing looks wrong, closed or like a scam, please report it.
You can search jobs, read listings, use the distance filter, open an employer’s website and build a resume draft without an account and without agreeing to anything. The resume builder keeps your draft for you as the privacy notice describes; saving it to an account and downloading it need an account.
ufaamu never applies to jobs automatically, never signs documents for you, never accepts or declines offers for you, and never shares your profile with an employer without your action.
Your resumes, cover letters, profile, answers, messages and photo remain yours. You give ufaamu permission to store, format, process, translate and display them, and to share them where you tell us to (for example with an employer you approve), only in order to provide ufaamu to you. This permission ends when you delete the material or your account, except for copies in backups for a limited time and copies others already received, as the privacy notice explains.
ufaamu will not sell your materials, use them for advertising, or allow them to be used to train AI models.
You are responsible for what you send to employers. Review every resume, letter and application before you send it. Do not include experience, qualifications, certificates or references that are not true, and do not submit applications in someone else’s name.
Today, ufaamu’s resume and cover letter suggestions, job-match explanations and interview practice are made by fixed rules and templates, from the information you entered. No AI service is connected. If one is connected later, it will be used for your information only if you turn on AI help, and this page and the privacy notice will be updated first.
Suggestions and generated documents can contain mistakes, leave out things that matter, or read awkwardly. A match means a job fits the preferences you set; it does not mean you meet the employer’s requirements or that you will be chosen. ufaamu makes no promise that a document will pass an employer’s screening software, get a response, or lead to an interview or job.
This section applies only to employers with a ufaamu employer account. Employers whose jobs ufaamu lists from their own websites have not agreed to it. Employers using ufaamu directly will also sign [Owner to provide: The written agreement employers sign before using ufaamu directly].
When using ufaamu, do not:
Honest reviews and criticism of ufaamu or of employers are not against these terms.
If someone breaks these terms, ufaamu may, in proportion to the problem: remove or hide content, pause a posting, limit features, or suspend or close an account. Where we can, we will tell the person what we did and why, and how to ask us to review it. When there is an urgent risk to people’s safety, security or information, we may act first and explain afterwards.
ufaamu’s own text, design and software belong to ufaamu. Job descriptions, employer names and logos belong to the employers. ufaamu writes its own short summaries and links to the employer’s original posting; permission to use employer content is reviewed separately for each source. These terms do not give anyone permission to copy job descriptions or other content from ufaamu or from employers’ websites.
ufaamu is a pilot. Features may change, and ufaamu may be unavailable at times. We will try to give notice before removing something important. You can stop using ufaamu at any time. To delete your account, send a privacy request as described in the privacy notice.
We work to keep ufaamu accurate and available, but we cannot promise that listings are complete or current, that every employer is honest, or that ufaamu will always work. Employers are responsible for their own listings, websites and decisions.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited by agreement. Terms about which law applies, where disputes are heard, and any limits on responsibility are not decided yet: [Owner to provide: Which state’s law applies, and where disputes are heard (after legal review)]; [Owner to provide: Any limits on responsibility, and their wording (after legal review; none are stated until then)].
When these terms change, the version and date at the top change. For important changes, we will tell account holders through [Owner to provide: How account holders are told about important changes (for example a notice in ufaamu, or email once email is connected)] before they apply, and ask you to agree to the new version before you continue using your account. Your acceptance is recorded with the version you agreed to.
